It’s show time at the Sopchoppy Opry, October 26 – 7 pm! Now in its 20th year, the Opry continues to provide some of the best family oriented entertainment anywhere and at affordable prices! It all began July 2000 and now 300+ shows later, dozens of talented individuals and groups have graced the historic Sopchoppy HS Auditorium stage! The high standards of musical skill each brought to the show have developed a rich tradition of excellence that has made the Opry ‘just the right place to be for the best classic country, bluegrass and Gospel Music’!

Tickets are still just $14 and may be reserved by calling 850-962-3711 or purchased at the door! All shows start at 7 pm. Ticket office and Opry Café open at 5:30 pm on show date.

A very special guest will return to the Opry stage October 26 – 7 pm! It’s Swiftwater! The group is among the most popular to perform on the Opry’s historic stage and another good example of the excellence the Sopchoppy Opry has come to represent!  Swiftwater is one of the area’s most enduring groups! Some members have changed over the years but the heart and soul of the band, Al & Wretha Webb, maintain a quality and unique sound within an extensive repertoire of music that is the envy of other groups. Currently, Al & Wretha, guitarist/vocals with Carlon Dillmore, mandolin/vocals and Larry Strickland, bass/vocals create the Swiftwater sound. Tight harmony and excellent arrangements of the great country, bluegrass and Gospel tunes make an evening with Swiftwater a special event! As one fan explained, “It’s worth the price of a ticket just to hear Al Webb & Swiftwater  perform Vern Gosdin’s, ‘Do You Believe Me Now’ or Wretha Webb’s rendition of ‘What’s Wrong With Doing Right’! For more, go to http://swiftwater.us.

There will be a variety of musical sounds emanating from the historic stage with South Bound, the Opry’s house band kicking off the fun at 7 pm followed by Swiftwater  after a short intermission. Both, Swiftwater & South Bound will perform many of your favorite songs, all in the atmosphere and tradition of the Grand Ole Opry!

Come early and enjoy an entree’, BBQ pork sandwich, hotdog and a homemade dessert made exclusively for Opry fans! The Opry Cafe and ticket office open at 5:30 on show date.
