Happy New Year music fans! It’s show time once again at the Sopchoppy Opry! You are invited to our special show on January 31 – 7 pm in historic Sopchoppy High School Auditorium! South Bound Band will serve as host and the show is loaded with fantastic musical talent! This is a special and important show! We will recognize South Bound Band and the many volunteers for their years of dedicated service and make an important announcement about the Sopchoppy Opry!

South Bound, one of this area’s most talented and experiencedbands will perform some of your favorite songs and accompany individual performers to serve up a great evening of music as we pay tribute to South Bound Band and the many others who have contributed to the 25.5 successful years of great music on the historic Sopchoppy H.S. stage. “Variety has been our byword over the years”, says Reggie Bradley, Opry musical coordinatorand veteran South Bound Band member. ‘We’ve had musical guests from all over the country perform here with us. Solos, duets and groups have graced the stage in the 300+performances over the last quarter century. Don’t miss this show!”
Reggie Bradley plays bass with South Bound and along withJohnny Calloway, lead vocals/rhythm guitar; Jay Newsome, lead guitar; Larry Bullock, steel guitar; Wayne Martin, fiddle and drummer Lamar Brock produce what has become the “South Bound Sound”, the trademark of the Sopchoppy Opry!South Bound has been the Opry house band for the past 25.5years and the combined musical and performing experience of its members makes it one of the area’s most accomplished and popular bands.
Also appearing as special guests for this Gospel show are Glenda Sue Bradley, Joan Cox and Ashton Evans!

The Sopchoppy Opry is one of the few remaining entertainment venues that is both family oriented and affordable. So bring the whole family, enjoy some great food in the Opry Café then move into the historic auditorium for an evening of great classic country, bluegrass and Gospel music!

The Sopchoppy Opry, now in its 25th year has performed approximately 300 shows featuring some of the area’s best musicians and vocalist. It is a family oriented activity and no alcohol or off-color language is allowed. Facilities are totally handicapped accessible and security services are provided by Gideon 300 Security. All net proceeds from the shows are used to match Florida Historic Preservation Grants applied for and administered by the Wakulla County School Board. The goal is to completely restore historic Sopchoppy School for use by future generations as a community center. The Opry is operated by volunteers under school board supervision.
